About Us

Finding inspiration in every turn

Founder Story

IMG_5232.jpg

I’ve always been driven by one question: “How can I make a change for the world today?” Growing up in Chicago, I witnessed the harsh realities of drugs and violence every day.

Moving to Indiana, I hoped for a fresh start, but violence still surrounded us.

My goal has always been to give my nine children a fair chance, a life without fear or limitations.

That journey eventually brought us to Minnesota, where I now dedicate myself to creating a safer, more supportive community.

Our nonprofit was born from the desire to turn my tears and struggles into meaningful change for others. We provide food and essential resources to the homeless, and we meet with young people to help them feel heard, valued, and empowered to dream.

We’re here to support them with tools, resources, and mentorship so they can set and achieve goals toward a brighter future.

Many families and children face fear and uncertainty daily, often without the necessary support to build stable, hopeful lives.

Drawing from my experiences, I work to provide families with essentials like school supplies, clothing, and food.

Our programs aim to foster resilience and create opportunity.

Through shared understanding, community, and resources, we work together to create positive change.

Our Story

Welcome to WDO2T, where our mission is centered around empowering and supporting children to reach their fullest potential.

We are a dedicated non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children through various programs designed to foster their growth, well-being, and academic success.

Our Parent Advocate Programs play a pivotal role in ensuring that children have a strong support system, offering guidance and assistance to parents in navigating the challenges of parenting.

We believe that by empowering parents, we create a more stable and nurturing environment for children to thrive.

At the heart of our organization is our Mentorship Programs, which pair experienced mentors with children who may benefit from additional guidance and positive role models. Through these relationships, children gain valuable insights, encouragement, and a sense of belonging that contributes to their overall development.

We recognize the importance of education in shaping a child's future, and as part of our commitment, we actively engage in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for children in schools.

These customized plans ensure that each child's unique needs are addressed, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

WDO2t stands as a beacon of hope for children facing challenges, advocating for their rights, and working tirelessly to create a brighter future for them.

Join us in our journey to make a lasting impact on the lives of these children and contribute to building a community where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
